Golang Job: Senior Platform Developer

Project Description

As a member of the Service Platform team you will design, build and support internally developed cloud agnostic PaaS, API Gateway and Service catalog/mesh offerings for the Nike developers ecosystem based on modern technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Golang. Building these platforms will offer you the opportunity to both design and build groundbreaking systems software and use some of the most innovative patterns and practices found in the cloud infrastructure repertoire.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will have an understanding of software development standard methodologies such as infra as code, agile SDLC, git workflows, peer code review and unit/integration testing. Experience in one or more cloud providers such as AWS, Azure and GCP environments with an emphasis on serverless or container-based technologies will be highly advantageous as well as experience writing and debugging APIs either in HTTP/REST, gRPC or GraphQL.

Skills

Must have

• 6+ years of Software Development
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Proficient in the programing language Golang
• Familiarity with UNIX dev tooling such as: git, curl, postman, docker, or bash
• Understanding of foundational networking, e.g. DNS, TCP, UDP, HTTP, TLS

Nice to have

• Ideal candidates would have 1 or more of the following:
• Experience with CI/CD tool - GitHub Actions
• Experience in Infrastructure automation tools - Crossplane
• Experience with Gitops - ArgoCD
• Experience with service mesh - Istio
• Experience with workflow engine/automation tooling- ArgoWorkflows
